As not all offences carry the same level of penalty, offences have been categorised to provide sentencing guidelines.
Important information
Part of being in a disciplined role such as the police means that we treat our colleagues with respect as well as the public. There are various 'rights of passage' that all officers have to go through for example:

These things help build trust within a team. We do a dangerous job and we all rely on our colleagues to help us when it hits the fan. The police service relies on team spirit of officers and being part of a bigger picture.
